I've finished my first ever piece for fanart!! Yayayah!
It is of course a Svet piece, done for Nightschool, although Dramacon remains my favourite book of hers. I must admit that I didn't do the piece out of now where - I'm just practicing my fan-arting skills for Svet's fanart contest! Hoorah! Whoever wins the contest gets to be in her next volume of Nightschool, and get's a free, signed copy!! I know my art isn't insanely good (Ha ha) but I think I may have a slim chance, and just generally feel insanely proud of myself for 1. motivating myself to do something vaguely useful 2. for drawing again! (always a challenge) 3. for making something that doesn't resemble total crap! Of course my chibi of Alex sucks, mostly cause I am terrible and chibis, but also because Alex wasn't meant to be chibified. Oh well.

Moving on! Notable things that have been happening in my life: I danced in the rain last Saturday! Hooray for first raindance of the season! Of course my sickness doubled, or perhaps tripled in terribleness after this, so the general experience wasn't that pleasant, but I'm still glad I did it.

One last mentionable tidbit is that we (me, my scene-partner and the whole class) are well into our Drama performances, and today we (my scene-partner and I) had our dress rehearsal, ie. our second workshop. And Sprague actually said our scene is GOOD. That we have mastered NATURAL dialog. That our dialogue seems natural and unforced. OMG, these are probably the nicest things S has ever said about my acting! Therefore; I am regaining slight confidence...maybe I DO have some acting talent? Some?
